At this stage my work involved formal business correspondances, job applications, some fiction, and the editing of university theses. More recently I have worked as a volunteer translator for the non-profit organization "International Alliance of Inhabitants" and am currently finishing the translation of a volume (French-English) on the history of heterosexuality, to appear in the UK and US in the coming year. Other relevant works include the proofreading and correction of a website translated into English by a non-native speaker, and the current project I am involved in to translate the site of a Mexican photographer/poet from French to English. > Education: Batchelor's degree in French Studies at the University of Sheffield, including a specific course entitled "Transcription, Translation and Subtitling". Short courses at the "Universite Michel de Montaigne Bordeaux 3", France, in Swedish (3 years) and Arabic (1 year) LSF (French Sign Language) training > Additional Skills: I have a very keen eye for detail and work quickly and seriously to a dealine. I enjoy spending time, if necessary, researching topics to enhance translation.
